Hard as it may be for our chilly northern readers to imagine, there are places in the US where people are still gallivanting outdoors, even after the sun has set. Fort Myers, Florida’s Art Walk happens in the downtown River District the first Friday of every month from 6-10 PM. In addition to galleries and museums, there are retail shops, community centers, and even a tattoo parlor on the route (grab a brochure & map at a participating business).
You can walk the route (it’s Florida, remember!) or hop on the free trolley that runs during the event. And when it’s over, the Art Walk After Party gathers artists, collectors, gallery owners, and general hipsters for after-hours fun.
